Bible Women is a companion page to Great Women of the Bible. The Bible includes many women who may not be great in our eyes, but in the providence of God were included in the Bible. From these lesser known women, great lessons can be learned.
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and a a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.
Isaiah 61:10 & 11, ESV
Bible Women is a companion page to Great Women of the Bible. The Bible includes many women who may not be great or may only be mentioned once or twice. My purpose is to introduce ourselves to some lesser known characters and apply what we know to our own personal walk with the Lord.
What can we learn from these lesser known Bible women? The most important thing for us to realize is that, in they eyes of God, every single person--every single woman in this world is important to God.
God is a God of details. When he made prophecies, those that have been fulfilled came about exactly as God said they would--even to the very day.
God is still equally as active in each of our lives, just as He was in Biblical times. We may not see it--most do not--but that does not make it any less true.
We do not have to live very long to see that God does not "run His train on our tracks." In other words, when He answers our prayers, sometimes it seems as though He gives us exactly the opposite of what we asked.
Let us look into the lives of these lesser known women of the Bible and see what we can take away from the little that was revealed of their lives.
God Bless You,
Linda
